II. Literature Review
The literature review provides a comprehensive overview of team management theories and models, existing research on team management and organizational goal achievement, and factors influencing team management effectiveness. Team management theories and models, such as Tuckman’s Stages of Group Development (1965), Belbin’s Team Roles (1981), Katzenbach and Smith’s The Wisdom of Teams (1993), and Lencioni’s The Five Dysfunctions of a Team (2002), offer valuable insights into team dynamics and performance. Existing research on team management and organizational goal achievement, including studies by Hackman (1987), Cohen and Bailey (1997), Bass (1985), Yukl (2010), Gersick (1988), and Salas et al. (2005), highlights the significance of effective team management in achieving organizational objectives.
Factors influencing team management effectiveness, such as leadership, communication, trust, team composition, and organizational culture, are crucial in determining team performance. Leadership styles, including transformational, transactional, and laissez-faire leadership, impact team motivation and direction. Open communication, clear goals, and active listening are essential for effective team communication. Trust, built through shared experiences and open communication, is vital for team cohesion. Team composition, including diversity, skills, and experience, affects team performance. Organizational culture, encompassing supportive, collaborative, and innovative cultures, influences team management effectiveness.
By understanding these factors, organizations can develop targeted strategies to enhance team management practices, leading to improved organizational performance and goal achievement. Effective team management is critical in today’s fast-paced business environment, and this literature review provides a foundation for understanding the complex dynamics of team management and its impact on organizational success.

III. Methodology
This study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining the strengths of both qualitative and quantitative methods to investigate the effectiveness of team management in achieving organizational goals. The research design consists of a case study and a survey, allowing for an in-depth examination of high-performing teams and a broader understanding of team management practices across various industries. The case study involves an in-depth examination of three organizations with high-performing teams, providing rich qualitative data on team management strategies and practices.
The survey, distributed to 500 team leaders and members, collects quantitative data on team management practices, goal achievement, and organizational performance. Data collection methods include semi-structured interviews with 20 team leaders and 30 team members, providing detailed insights into team management experiences and perspectives. Observations of team meetings and collaboration sessions offer a unique perspective on team dynamics and communication. Purposive sampling ensures the selection of organizations and teams with high-performing teams, while the sample size of 500 survey respondents, 20 interviewees, and 3 case study organizations provides a robust dataset for analysis.
Data analysis techniques include thematic analysis of interview data and observations, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis of survey data, as well as mixed-methods analysis to integrate qualitative and quantitative findings and identify patterns and themes. This comprehensive methodology enables a nuanced understanding of team management’s impact on organizational goal achievement, providing valuable insights for practitioners and researchers seeking to enhance team performance and achieve organizational success. By combining qualitative and quantitative methods, this study offers a rich and detailed exploration of team management effectiveness, contributing to the development of evidence-based best practices for team management.
